Vision - The "Free" worlds dependence on middle eastern oil is a threat to the world as we know it. Most of the worlds imports are from the most unfriendly and unstable regions in the world. Failing to rein in our dependence on imported oil gives leverage to undemocratic and unstable regimes.
Wasteful consumption of fuels creates political liabilities overseas, air polution at home and global warming. The rate at which the free world burns fuel has made us a leading contributor to global warming.
If we want true security we must reduce our consumption of fuel. There is no other way. Other issues may crowd the headlines but this is our challenge.
